Presentation
The Department of Engineering Science and Methods (DISMI), founded in January 1999, deals with theoretical and applied research, university education and technology transfer in various fields of engineering and engineering-relevant basic sciences. DISMI brings together lecturers and researchers with internationally recognised experience and knowledge, active in international, national and local research projects. The transversal competences and the strongly interdisciplinary approach, within which the most innovative knowledge of computer science, electronics, mechanics, logistics and business economics disciplines are integrated, are essential to succeed in the most modern and complex technological challenges. DISMI is able to provide dynamic and qualified answers to engineering requirements both in its purely theoretical aspects and in those of design, prototyping and testing. The teaching staff consists of seventy-five professors, researchers and contract lecturers. In addition to classroom and laboratory lectures, the teaching offer includes language courses and internship periods in companies. DISMI's strength lies in its deep-rooted and constant relations with the economic and productive fabric of the region, a condition that guarantees graduates an easy entry into the world of work.
