In Italy, the Digital Administration Code (Legislative Decree 82/2005) provides for the digital signature as a technical solution to guarantee electronic documents authenticity integrity and non-repudiation and the digital stamp as a technological solution that allows the creation of electronic documents that, once printed, continue to possess the characteristics of authenticity, integrity, and non-repudiation proper to a digitally signed electronic document.
The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia is equipped with Secure-Edge's patented solution for the production of documents containing a digital stamp with a 2D-Plus® two-dimensional graphic code.
The decoding of the stamp is done with software that is licensed and distributed free of charge.
Certificates issued by the Registrar’s Offices
The following certificates, issued by the Registrar’s Offices, bear a digital stamp at the bottom
Student certificates:
- Enabling SUPPORT
- SSIS qualification
- Degree Confirmation
- Enrolment
- Enrolment with preceding years
- Enrolment with fees per calendar year
- Enrolment for foreign students
- SSIS enrolment
- Degree
- Degree with quiescence
Person certificates:
- Qualification with grade
- Confirmation of qualification at other applicant universities
- Replacement Diploma
The digital stamp contains the entire document and is visible on the certificate as a two-dimensional code similar to a grey band.
Decoding the stamp
In order to decode 2D-Plus® digital stamps on certificates, it is necessary to use the 2D-Plus® Decoder programme developed by Secure-Edge for the Windows® platform and to have a Twain-compatible scanner connected to your computer and correctly configured.
