This notice is addressed to anyone interacting with the theme websites of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia included in this Unimore theme website list
Following consultation of the Unimore theme websites, data relating to identified or identifiable subjects may be processed. This notice is provided only for theme websites included in this Unimore theme website list and does not concern other websites that may be consulted by the user through links. 

Data Controller

The Data Controller is the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, represented by the pro-tempore Rector and with headquarters at the address via Università n. 4 - 41121 Modena, Italy.

Place of data processing 

Data processing connected to Unimore theme websites takes place at the premises of the Data Controller. Data processing is carried out exclusively by personnel in charge or by any person in charge for occasional maintenance operations.

Types of processed data

Browsing data

during their ordinary operation, information systems and software procedures used for Unimore theme websites acquire some personal data whose disclosure is implicit when Internet communication protocols are used. The elective, explicit an voluntary sending of e-mail messages to the addresses posted on the Unimore theme website www.unimore.it entails the subsequent acquisition of the address of the sender, which is necessary to answer any queries, as well as of any other personal information included in the message. The personal data provided by users who submit requests to send information material (bulletins, CD-ROMs, newsletters, annual reports, answers to questions, documents and provisions, etc.) are used for the sole purpose of carrying out the service or provision requested and are disclosed to third parties only if this is necessary for this purpose. Unimore theme website use some cookies to monitor the use of the services provided and/or enable specific functions. Cookies are not used for tracking purposes.

Session cookies

They are necessary to manage authentication to online services and reserved areas. These cookies are not stored permanently on the user's computer and are deleted when the browser is closed. Disabling these cookies does not allow the use of part of the online services.

Third-party analytical tracking cookies

Unimore theme websites use external services (Google Analytics) to generate statistics on the use of the website. These data are collected in order to examine the use of the site and the services provided by generating periodic reports for site operators regarding the most consulted contents, connection methods (mobile, PC, browser used, etc.) and how to search and reach the portal pages.

Furthermore, monthly reports are drawn up in aggregate form as provided for in point 4.8 of the Guidelines for public administration sites: "each administration must adequately organise the collection of statistical data useful for understanding the level of use of its site".

Analytical tracking cookies can be disabled without any consequence on the navigation of the portal; however, their disabling may affect the correct analysis of the service by the site managers. To disable them, see the next section "How to disable cookies by configuring the browser (opt-out)".

» Google Analytics - Service offered by the company Google, Inc. which according to the terms of service will use tracking cookies, as independent data controller, in order to trace and examine the use of the website, compile reports on site activity by site operators and to provide other services relating to the activities of the website, connection methods (mobile, PC, browser used, etc.) and methods of searching and reaching the portal pages. Google may also disclose this information to third parties if required by law or if such third parties process the aforementioned information on behalf of Google. 
Please note that the service described here is used by the theme websites of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia by adopting the useful measures to reduce the identifying power of cookies through: the anonymisation of IP addresses associated with the devices connected to the web portal (IP anonymisation) and by avoiding the intersection of the collected data with other information. Therefore, the minimised Google Analytics tracking cookies are to be considered similar to Technical Cookies (FAQ No. 4 of the Privacy Guarantor) for whose use the user's consent is not required.

Deleting cookies already saved on your pc
