Contenuto

With reference to the fulfillments to be borne by PhD students of the 37th and 36th cycle courses with administrative headquarter at UNIMORE for the taking of the final exam directed to the achievement of the title of “Doctor of Research”, candidates are requested to observe the instructions indicated in the attachments below.

As indicated in the specific notes attached, please note that the online procedure for the submission of the application for admission to the final examination is available as of October 1, 2024 (11:00 a.m.). The application for admission must be submitted by October 21, 2024 (1:00 p.m.) in the manner indicated in the specific notes attached.
The application for admission entails the payment, also by October 21, 2024, of EUR 32.00 (including stamp duty for the application and stamp duty for the subsequent issuance of the parchment). Payment can be made exclusively by the following means:
- log on to Esse3, connecting to the University's website at https://www.esse3.unimore.it/Home.do with UNIMORE credentials, and under the menu item “Fees” proceed with the payment through the PagoPA circuit that allows one to pay online (choosing one's Payment Service Provider - PSP) or alternatively to print the payment notice to be delivered personally to Banks, ATMs, SISAL, Lottomatica and ITB points of sale. From your personal page in Esse3, under Fees, you will be able to print the payment receipt. With the PagoPa circuit, the payment acquisition time in Esse3 is, as a rule, comparable to that of the credit card.

Please note, in addition to what is indicated in the attached notes, that when the online procedure will ask to enter Course Coordinator, First Rapporteur and Correlator, the doctoral student must:
- enter the name of the Course Coordinator;
- enter only a First Rapporteur (tutor) and possibly, but only if officially appointed by the Course Teaching Board, only one Co-Rapporteur and only one second Co-Rapporteur; in fact, the University Regulations provide that a PhD student may have only one tutor (thesis advisor) and possibly, for special needs, one or two co-tutors (co-rapporteur); both must have been officially appointed by the Course Teaching Board. Otherwise, any persons who have collaborated in various capacities may be mentioned in the thesis (e.g., in the acknowledgments) but not appear as rapporteur or co-rapporteur.
- (Only for those who have the Course Coordinator as Rapporteur) enter the name of the First Rapporteur (and not that of the Course Coordinator).

Please be advised that the online procedure will allow, with the appropriate button, direct access to AlmaLaurea (points 1 and 7 of the attached note) and that also this year the final thesis must be deposited by the candidates on Esse3 (point 5 of the attached note) indicating at the same time the choice between public accessibility to the thesis or the embargo request (i.e., postponement of public accessibility to the thesis). The system will then automatically pour the thesis into the open access archive of IRIS-UNIMORE research products https://iris.unimore.it/.

PhD students who have taken advantage of periods of suspension for maternity leave/severe illness will be contacted individually for the specifics of the case.
